Camp Counselor

Plaid top: Target (hand-me-down) / Tank: Old Navy / Shorts: Old Navy

I wore this outfit (plus flip flops!) to take my daughter to swimming lessons on a cool morning earlier this week.  That was a lot of fun...  halfway through she came to me shivering uncontrollably, with blue lips, ready to go home.  So we did.  I wouldn't have wanted to be swimming that day, either!

I'm not exactly sure why, but for some reason this outfit made me feel like a camp counselor.  Maybe it was the Bermuda shorts?  Do people still wear these??  I went through a phase a few years ago where I didn't like short shorts, so I have a few pair.  I thought about getting rid of them, but there have been a few times this summer where I haven't felt like short shorts would be appropriate, so I've chosen to wear these.  What do you think?  Bermudas?  Yes or No??

  1. I think it's the combo of long shorts and the flannel. ;) Still cute, though! I personally don't like bermudas because I don't think they're flattering on me. I've found that the most flattering inseam length on me is 3", which can be a little short, and therefore not always appropriate. But I'd rather wear flattering shorts sometimes than unflattering ones, ya know? You pull off the bermuda look though, so if you like them, I say keep 'em! :)

  2. I have a love/hate thing with shorts in general. I have found that I like the 5" ones the best. Being a mom the short shorts are just a little out there for me. Bermudas I think can work especially paired with a wedge or heel. You look really cute and comfy in yours though! Heather

p.s. I adore your short hair too. It is adorable!

  3. After having kids for whatever reason I feel more comfortable in bermudas than shorts. I think they look good on you but the other colored shorts you have look good too! I think bermudas could look good with sandals or flats. I've seen several cute looks with bermudas out there to recreate!
