Over

Hi there!

My little helper...        ^^^^^^

Scarf: Old Navy / Tunic: Forever 21 / Leggings: Charlotte Russe / Boots: Kohl's

Here is a post of random thoughts...  and an outfit I wore way back in the beginning of November.  Since I haven't been posting at all for the last couple months, I've got a stash of old outfits that I haven't shared.  And I haven't even taken any outfit photos since December.  Well, other than a billion pics for an IG challenge I've been doing.  But more on that another day.  Everything in this outfit is super old, except the boots, which I bought last winter.  I don't even remember buying this tunic.  I didn't think I had ever even been to a Forever 21, until this past year, until I looked at the tag on this tunic and realized it was from there...

I'm glad the Olympics are over.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE watching them.  That's the problem.  I watched Olympic coverage for hours and hours...  I could do nothing else!  I just love the stories of the athletes, and the history lessons, and the wipe-outs!  Good stuff!  But it feels good to not be glued to my television anymore.

I can't wait for The Bachelor to be over!  I'm pretty sure I already know who Juan Pablo picks...  and I don't even care!  I just don't have a good feeling about him, and no matter what happens, I don't think it's going to last.  But I can't stop watching, either.  This week the "women tell all."  That should be fun.  And then we'll finally have the finale and we can all move on with our lives.

I also can't wait for winter to be O.V.E.R!  As I write this, it's currently -3 degrees outside.  The highest temp in our ten day forecast is 31 degrees.  Seriously?!  It's March, and we can't even get above freezing.  Sprrriiing?  Where aaaarrre yoooooo??

While I'm here, I'm curious what sort of posts you would like to see from me?  Fashion?  Personal stories?  Random thoughts?  Do you have any specific questions you'd like me to attempt to answer?

Anti-Sweats

Today I'm linking up at The Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday.  The point of WIWW is to get out of your yoga pants (which is what I am currently wearing!  Ha!) and put some effort into how you look.  Why?  Because it will make you feel better!  I know slapping a little makeup on and putting real clothes on makes a huge difference for me!

Yesterday was cold, wet and windy, and felt like a sweatpants kind of day.  This outfit was my alternative to wearing head to toe fleece.  :)

Scarf: Very Jane / Tee: Old Navy / Sweater: JCPenney / Jeans: Old Navy / Shoes: TOMS

I purposefully bought this sweater a couple sizes big, for those days when I just want to feel comfy.  The jeans are O.L.D.  They used to be a favorite pair, and most definitely did not have holes in the knees when I bought them...  I've worn them a *few* times!  And the scarf I was actually wearing for warmth.  On June 4th.  That's just wrong.  But I was comfortable AND productive.  Yay me!

Experiment

I had a completely different post ready for today, but decided to throw this one together quick so I could participate in Whitney's We Love Target link-up.  Today's item to style is a top.  This was my only choice to post, as I JUST started taking pics for the blog, so all you get is a black tee.  But I think that's okay, because basics are just as important as the fun, unique pieces.  You can  have more fun with the rest of the outfit!  This outfit basically started with me wanting to wear the shoes and scarf, and then finding a pair of pants and shirt that I thought might would work.  Before my style quest began, I NEVER would have worn these pants with these shoes!  For one, I didn't own either, but I also never would have experimented with mixing colors like this.  I think the scarf helps to make the color combo work.  I think I would have preferred a white or gray shirt, but don't have either.  I'm slowly building my wardrobe... This outfit was fun for me to wear.  What do you think?

Scarf: Very Jane;  Tee: Target;  Blue Skinnies: Kohl's;  Shoes: Target

I also wanted to mention that you will surely see a lot of these earrings.  I used to wear a lot of big, dangling earrings, but I'm digging the studs these days.
